Shofar - Yemenite

Yemenites traditionally use a special, very long shofar made of the horn of the Greater African kudu, a large striped animal in the antelope family. The kudu horn is extremely long and is beautiful when polished. Some hold that Yemenite shofars made of the kudu horn were the original shofars used by the Jewish people, brought to the Land of Israel from Africa.

We offer a selection of Yemenite shofars in different sizes and colors - all certified kosher Yemenite shofars made in Israel. Each Yemenite shofar is tested individually before shipping to ensure it has a beautiful sound, with longer shofars allowing greater range. The length of the shofar is measured along the outer edge of the spiral.
